Best Time to visit
It is important to choose the right time to visit Adi Kailash and Om Parvat as they affect the spiritual ambiance, road conditions, permit availability, photography, and culture.
Late May → Mid-June
This is a good time to visit after winter, as roads start opening and snow starts melting. You can enjoy picturesque views and pilgrimage portals open during this time.
However, in higher passes, you may encounter snow-blockage, and the weather gets very cold, especially at night.
Monsoon Suspend (Late June Through August)
From late June through August, it is the rainy season, and travelling during this time is dangerous.
Landslides, swollen rivers, and blocked roads make travel difficult. The yatra often gets suspended due to adverse weather conditions.
Post-Monsoon / September → Early November
This is the best time for those who want to enjoy the best visuals.
The sky is clear during this time. But nights are a bit cold, and near the top, snow begins.
Winter (Nov Onward)
Most of the infrastructure shuts down during this period due to extremely cold weather.
Helicopter darshan may be open for the pilgrims. But most of the trek routes are generally closed, and the region encounters heavy snowfall.
If you go during this time, you'll find the expedition to be very difficult.
